THE RETURN OF THE SOURCES

The “DOMAINE DES FARGUES” is an XVII century farmstead on a 4-hectare land. The domain is located in the heart of the famous black Périgord, in Sainte Foy de Longas, between Perigueux (flourishing and cultural municipality 30 kilometers north), Bergerac (and its wines 22 kilometers south), Sarlat (medieval treasure 45 kilometers east) and immediate proximity of the Dordogne and the Vézère valleys.

In the neighbouring villages of St Alvère (4 kilometers), Lalinde (14 kms) and Le Bugue (15 kms) you will find supermarkets, banks, the customary shops and the weekly open markets. The Domain is about 600 kms of Paris, 840 kms from Brussels, including 730 kms of toll and toll-free freeways (total toll cost for a car is € 26 since October 2003).

From Bordeaux, the distance is about 120 kms and from Bergerac, 25 kms. Thanks to its location, settled on a dominant and privileged place, with a preserved, peaceful and green environment, the  Domaine des Fargues offers breathtaking vistas as far as the eye can see (up to 25 kms).

Here, you will appreciate therestful serenity of a sojourn out of time. It is the ideal starting point to discover the numerous riches of the Périgord. We tastefully restored the 10 Périgord style houses with their warm coloured stones, respecting their authenticity and character Never did we under the pretense of profitability construct the functional, brutalize nature and violate the charm of the area.

We aim to reach a special clientele, sensitive to the beauty of the environment, its harmony, and the physical and spiritual respite that this place beget. We are at the opposite side of the de-humanizing, hectic and stressful rhythms of modern life. Life here is intended to correct its nefarious aspects and to bring us back softly to its simple and true values.
